Storm Battle Back For 2 All OT Tie
The Mooretown Storm battled back from two 1 goal deficits to garner a 2-2 overtime tie on the road in Belmont.  Walker Holmes and Hunter Seguin notched the goals while Ben Brant played solid between the pipes.

The Mooretown Storm would take the trip to the London area for their final road trip of the season.  Coach Kyle would be the man in charge as coach Steve was away for the contest.  The Strom battled hard and came away with a 2-2 overtime tie against the Belmont Rangers.  The first period would once again show how evenly matched the teams were as they traded chances back and forth from the opening face off.  The Rangers would score midway through the frame on a blast from the top of the faceoff circle which beat Starter Ben Brant blocker side.  Evan Turner, Walker Holmes, Nick Bogaert and Hunter Seguin would all garner chances in the first 10 minutes but Belmont would come out of the 1st up 1-0.  Mooretown would storm out of the gates to start the second and would be rewarded 2:46 in as a one bouncer off the stick of Walker Holmes would beat the Belmont Goalie.  Hunter Seguin would get an assist to knot the game at 1.  The Referees decided to use their whistles and both teams would spend time in the box including some 4 on 3 action midway through the second.  Shots were at a premium through the rest of the period as well and both goalies kept the game 1-1 after 2.  The third period would continue with several penalties and Belmont would finally convert at the 11:29 mark as a Belmont forward banked the puck off of Brant to put the Rangers up 2-1.  The teams would play 5 on 5 for about 4 minutes before Belmont would get another power play with 4:51 left  but the Storm would be the ones who scored as Hunter Seguin picked off the puck and made no mistake firing it just inside the post  to tie the game at 2.  Belmont would get one more late power play in the last minute but the score would remain at 2 after 3.  Into overtime where Mooretown would carry the play for the most part garnering more quality chances but the Belmont goalie flashed his glove hand on a number of occasions to keep the game tied.  Brant would not be shown up as he made a game saver with 13.7 seconds left in overtime and that would do it for a well played hard fought game.  The Storm have one game left as they face the Wallaceburg Lakers on home ice (rink 2) Sunday.
