Final Game for Atom AE Storm
The Atom AE took the ice, in Mt Brydges, for the last official game of the season.
The Storm worked hard throughout the majority of the game. They were able to exchange scoring opportunities with the Cougars. Although the outcome wasn't what the Storm players had in mind, they have to be proud of their efforts.
As the season comes to an end, each player needs to look back on the season and evaluate. If asked at the beginning of the season what each player would like to get from playing on this team, I believe that many would have similar answers. Most players would like to improve their ability to play hockey, build friendships with teammates and have a good time. If those were the goals back in September, I'm certain that each player would consider this season a success. The Mooretown Storm Atom AEs need to hold their head up high and be proud of their accomplishments. Although, the team had a difficult time finding the "win" column, they learned how to work hard, even when they were down and how to be respectful, even when losing.
Thanks to all those who were involved in helping out this season. A big thanks goes out to the coaches, trainer and manager -- Rod, Kelly, Jerry, Craig, Mark and Wendy -- who put many hours into this team. It takes a lot of people, who are willing to step up and dedicate their time, to make it all happen.
Also, thanks to all the kids who showed up to games and practices this season. Good work...
