The Girls Meet Kent County
What started as a slow game would end up an exciting nail biter!
The girls would spend the first period looking pretty rusty and out of sorts. Kent County would score with 4:43 left in the first period. Kent would score two more goals in the second period, leaving the score at 3-0 at the end of the second period. The storm girls would have a couple of close calls, but they just couldn't slip it past the Kent goalie.
The third period would see the girls hit a grove. Clare would start the scoring for the Storm, but Kent would quickly answer back with another goal of their own. Danielle would quickly skate it up after the faceoff to score a goal of her own, with Makayla not too far behind. Kent would score one more to give them a two point lead. Taylor would get us a little closer to tying it up with a goal with 1:45 left in the game. The last minute would see the Storm pull the goalie and give us a one girl advantage. The girls almost scored many times, but the puck just couldn't find the back of the Kent net.
