And the Playoffs Begin
Mooretown would head to Petrolia to mark the beginning of the Tri-County Playoffs.

The boys knew that Petrolia would be gunning for them having closed the gap on the scores as the season went on.

The team would be playing without Turner who was seated in the booster club at the Peewee Rep Silver Stick while Luc Doan would be called up to fill the gap. The Storm would come out hard in the first period having Petrie playing strong in between the pipes. The luck for the Storm would change as Petrolia would score on a power play but the team would battle back with one from Hardick (A: Ferguson) to tie the game before close of the period.

The Oilers would net another one in the second period to make it a 2-1 game. The trainer would get some ice time with Priddle going down and then Ferguson taking a beating against the boards. Petrolia would keep taking it to the Storm ringing one off the post with two seconds left in the period.

In the third, Petrolia would bust open the game. The Storm would go down 3-1 with another goal by a determined opponent while Ferguson would be shelved for the rest of the game with a lower body injury. Both sides would trade penalties and Petrolia would add another during the 4 on 4 play. With the Storm down 4-1, the team knew that they would have to dig down to pull off a W. In the dying minutes, Coene would get a breakaway but the goalie would stone him only to see Carter Foster scoop up the leftovers to pocket one to cut the gap. It would however, be too little too late and the Storm would bite the dust for the loss.

Mooretown will have to shake it off as the team has a quick turnaround on the road facing Blenheim tomorrow.
