The NReps came off their Christmas break booked into the Novice Silver Stick qualifier in Parkhill.

Going in, the team knew they had a hard task at hand playing in the top division with some very challenging teams from A and BB centres.

First up would be the Dorchester Dragons who has had the Storm's number all season and would continue their dominance over Mooretown with a convincing win. Without a doubt, Dorchester's talent will send them deep into the OMHA playoffs ahead.

Some familiar faces came in the next game playing the Sarnia Sting Tier 1 Novice Team. An exhibition game earlier in the season saw the Sting buzz over the Storm quite easily but this time around, Mooretown would hold their own and although they didn't win the game, the gap had narrowed from their previous match up.

London North clouted the Storm in the last game on Saturday knocking them out of any hope of playing in the semi-finals on Monday.

Sunday brought on the Strathroy Rockets who buried the Storm just prior to the break. This time though, the boys must have been sick of losing as they played their hearts out proudly tying the Rockets in their final game of this tournament.

Although the end results weren't what the team had hoped for, no doubt the boys will remember the experience taking home the understanding of why Silver Stick is regarded as the elite North American tournament and one of the toughest to win.
