Storm Front Blew In Late
The Mooretown Storm Atom Rep team traveled to Wallaceburg for their second game of the Shamrock regular season on the 28th of September 2013.  The Storm played great!  Unfortunately they only played that way for the final 2:25 of the game.

Prior to the final 2:25 of the game the Storm got shelled for 4 goals digging a hole that appeared insurmountable.  It was at the 2:25 mark of the third period that the Storm realized they were in a hockey game and decided to make things interesting.

Ryan Nicholson got things started when he walked in from the point and let a hard wrist shot fly.  The Lakers goalie couldn’t control the rebound and an opportunistic Graham Armstrong banged it home to start the Strom off.

Just about a minute later Nicholson was at it again as he sent another shot at the Lakers net.  This time Nick Bogaert and Lachlan Stewart were banging away at the loose puck.  Bogaert eventually snapped the puck in making it a 4-2 game.

Thirty seconds later Matty Anderson was patrolling the blue line in the Lakers zone.  Matty loaded up a wrist shot and fired it toward the Lakers net.  The Lakers net minder was unable to control the rebound and once again the rebound was put home. Lachlan Stewart was given credit for the goal as Evan Turner and Stewart caused havoc in the Lakers crease.

The Storm had battled hard scoring 3 goals in a 1:40 making it a 4-3 game with 45 seconds to go.  The Storm continued to pressure and with less the 10 seconds to go Matty Anderson chipped the puck past the Lakers defenseman and was attempting to get to the waiting puck.  As Matty attempted to get by the Lakers defense he found out that Wallaceburg is the home of WAMBO.

The Lakers went on to win the game 4-3
