Storm vs Jr. Stars
Atom boys took to the road on a fine sunny afternoon to take on the St Thomas Jr Stars.

The Atom boys took to the road on a fine sunny afternoon to take on the St. Thomas Jr. Stars.

The Stars took the lead just under a minute into the game as a deflection squeaked by the storm goaltender. A few minutes later Joey Edlington pushed through the Stars' defence and fired off a quick shot which hit the goalie, bounced off and right onto the stick of Mitchell Brush tieing the game 1-1. With the Stars in the box, Mitchell Brush and Colby Stewart passed the puck around to a down low Owen McCowan who pushed hard from behind the net popping the puck over the Stars' goalie making it 2-1 Storm. A few minutes later  the Stars tied it up again. With a minute left in the first, Mitchell crashed the net again pushed the puck into the net putting the Storm ahead 3-2.
3 minutes into the 2nd period, the Stars got another break as they pushed the puck into the storm net tieing the game 3-3.
The rest of the game was a goaltender's duo. Storm defence skated and moved the puck well; led by Ryan Parkinson and  Logan Klompstra. Xander Blair and Kelly Johnston cleared all pucks and players from infront of Travis Morningstar.
In the dying seconds of the 3rd, the Storm on a 5 on 3 play, Kelby Derrick skated the puck from the Storm end passed it off to Zak Cottrelle who released a hard shot. The rebound was gobbled up by Dylan Ferguson who put it in the back of the Stars' net with 4 seconds left in the game.
Storm won 4-3
