Storm Return Home To Win Final Home Game Of The Season 9-2 Over Dresden
The Mooretown Storm looked to shake off a disappointing loss to the Ridgetown Rebels and did so with a 9-2 win over the Dresden Jr. Kings

The Mooretown Storm knew they had not played well in a 2-1 loss to Ridgetown and were looking to make amends as they face the Dresden Jr. Kings in their final home game of the regular season.  A familiar face was in the stands and Keaton Frayne made it to the arena for the game as he recovers from Mono.  Mooretown would get hemmed in the zone at times throughout the contest including the first but finally managed to score as Coltan Beauvais blasted along the ice with an assist to Dallas Mesko with 1:51 left.  That seemed to spark the Storm as they came out flying to start the second.  Dominic Aliperti would score twice in 31 seconds the first unassisted and the second with assists to Braeden Hunt and Dallas Mesko within the first 2 minutes of the period.  MacKenzie Lumley would notch a quick pair midway through the period as Aliperti would set him up at 8:30 and Chloe Plain would assist his goal just 41 seconds later to put the Storm up 5-0.  Dominic Aliperti would be sent to the box for High Sticking with 4:03 left in the second but the Storm penalty killers would not allow Dresden to score.  Colin Gladwish would lose his shut out bid with 1:09 remaining as a shot from the corner bounced off his pad and squeezed by the post to make it 5-1.  Things would start off a little pushy as Coltan Beauvais would decided not to take any Guff in front of the Dresden net and would be assessed a 2 minute roughing after the whistle penalty but once again the penalty killers would get the job done.  Josh Raymond would make it a 6-1 game with a low shot that banked off the post and in from the blue line.  Dominic Aliperti and Dallas Mesko would grab assists.  Braeden Hunt would score just 30 seconds later with another assist to Dallas Mesko to make it 7-1.  Dominic Aliperti would cap his night off with a hat trick with 6:35 remaining with assists to Coltan Beauvais and Cam Crowley.  Josh Raymond jinxed himself by mentioning to the coach that he had stayed out of the penalty box and would soon visit a place well know to him this season for a slashing penalty.  Colton Williamson would finish off the Mooretown scoring short handed with an unassisted goal on a shot from the blue line to make it 9-1.  Dresden however would take advantage of some line juggling by Mooretown to score their second of the game on Gladwish with 1:40 left in the game.  Overall the team certainly played better passing was good our attempts to the clear the zone were a little lack luster.  The Storm have 2 very big games before March break with the biggest Monday night in Petrolia.  Go Storm!!
