South Huron Regional Silverstick
Well the boys worked hard again this weekend and came out Regional Silverstick Champions
Friday we played our rivals Petrolia and Mooretown won 4-0, then we beat BCH the same day with a score of 1-0. Saturday had just 1 game and played Ilderton and again won 5-1.
Sunday morning were the semi finals where Mooretown played Strathroy and Mt Brydges played Petrolia and the two winners played for the CHAMPIONSHIP. We won 3-1 against Strathroy and we all waited patiently to see who we would play in the finals as the other semi final game was at a different arena. The news came in we were playing My Brydges as they beat Petrolia 4-2. So off the finals we go. Mt Brydges scored first which made these boys work harder and harder all game. Finally in the third period Jason Heggie scored with 4 minutes left to tie it up. Of course it stayed tied so into overtime we go which was a 10 minute period of 3on3. Just two minutes into the overtime, Luke Houle skated up with the puck and shot a beauty shot into the top corner of the net. Mooretown wins 2-1.
Now off to Pelham for INTERNATIONAL SILVER STICK where the boys will play teams from all across NORTH AMERICA. We are so proud of all of you.
