Game # 13 ..Jr.Flags vs Lightning 3.
Great Game Boys!!..
Our team was very determined this afternoon when the puck dropped in Blenheim. We gained the momentum of the first period when Derek Zink would score a sweet rebound'r from Reed Mathieson in the first six minutes of the game. A very incredible goal for Derek as this was his first goal of this season and the arena lit up as it was exciting..Derek kept that momentum throughout the game and into the third period when he scored his second goal with a pass from Nic Gerrits as they charged that net. Its great to see Derek making huge improvements with his hockey skills and it always pays off when your playing your position in front of that net .. For playing his position and scoring his 1st & 2nd goal today Derek took home the Golden Jersey .. Congratulations Derek !!
Early in the first period Patrick Brown took a bad fall into the boards jamming his stick into his stomach and its always important to stay down when your injured.. Paddy managed to get back to the bench and take a few minutes to re-group and once he was able to back back out there he scored 2 more goals today.. both goals were unassisted. Fantastic job Patrick. The whole team never gave up today again and it shows we are getting a lot stronger as a team and friendship... Keep up the team spirit.
Both teams playing well this afternoon as Jr.Flags led the third period by 1 goal and continued to not let up against the Lightning. With 2 minutes to go .. South Kent pulled their goalie in that 6 man advantage attempt to over come the Jr.Flags but our boys were determined and held them off and even controlled the puck enough that Reed Mathieson busted past the Lightning to score on the open net ... Nice... Your all doing so well and should be proud of yourselves.. Great Work Team !!
Don't forget next weekend is MTMHA tourney starting Friday morning as we Take on Wallaceburg Lakers in our first game...Practice Thursday night don't forget.
