Game 14 vs. Wallaceburg 1
Today’s game was played in Mooretown where Josh West would wear the 3rd A for his solid defensive game against Southwest.  Josh was always in the corners digging for the puck and holding the blue line whenever he could. Awesome job Josh!

For today’s game we would be missing forward Thomas Gerrits and defenseman Jacob Turner.  Coach Dean called up our 2 AP players Andrew Hayward and Reed Mathieson.

Mooretown would open the scoring in this game and then taking an early 2 goal lead.  Both teams played hard and wanted to win every battle for the puck.  At 7:27 in the first Wallaceburg would get one passed Logan to bring the game to within 1 goal.

2 minutes later Connor Murphy would bury a goal and put Red up by 2 goals again.

With momentum on our side Jace Dupuis would open up the second period with a goal at 14:44.  Red was up 4-1!

Wallaceburg proving they are a top team in our league would come back with 3 unanswered goals in the second to tie the game.  Andrew and Reed sure picked an exciting game to be part of.

Entering the third period both teams wanted the win.  Every player on the ice from both sides were trying their hardest to make no mistakes, and nobody did.  Goalies were making unbelievable glove saves, multiple players blocking shots and having breakaways from both sides couldn’t even decide this one. After 40 minutes the game ended in a 4-4 tie.

Our second match of the year with W’burg 1 was an awesome, skilled, clean game of hockey.  Fans cheered their teams on from both sides of the arena.  Every player on the ice gave it their all and the tie proved how evenly matched the 2 teams really are.

Thank you to all Wallaceburg players and coaches for another exciting game!
