Game 15 vs. Wallaceburg 2
Today’s
game would be held in Mooretown where no player was awarded the 3rd
A. All players were recognized for their efforts against Wallaceburg #1 in their previous game and tying the top place team in our league! Go Red!!!
Mooretown would manage to take the lead in the first period with a goal from Jace Dupuis. We never had a lot of scoring opportunities in the period and their goalie was playing strong hockey.
Wallaceburg #2 would have a strong 2nd period and score 2 goals going into the third leading the score 2 -1.
3 minutes into the third period Dylan Dupuis would get one by the Wallaceburg #2 goalie to tie the game up with an assist from Aden Bogaert.
With 2:25 left to go in the game Ian Blair would send a pass up to Connor Murphy that was passed across the ice to Dylan Dupuis. Dylan managed to split the defense and get in alone on the goalie putting one in the back of the net to take the lead.
The boys would play some strong defensive play to keep the lead and get the victory.
Logan Phillips was strong in net today facing 21 shots while our players managed to get 29 shots to the net. Great Job Red!!
