Round One
OMHA Playdowns have begun.  The Mooretown Bantam Rep team is peaking at just the right time.  Mooretown faces Mount Bridges in a preliminary best of 5 series.  The first game took place Monday January 9th.
The Cougar's captain capitalized on opportunities in the first period to score 4 goals.  Hawkins was the Flag to change the team’s momentum by scoring a goal.  From then on it was all Flags’ hockey.

During the second period Beauvais answered with a goal in front of the net assisted by Forbes.  Then Duffy went top shelf bringing the team to within a one goal deficit.  Late in the third, Rodey stick handled around a defensemen and charged toward the net.  Realizing he didn’t have a shot passed to the hard forechecking Nicholson to assist the fourth goal tying the game.

Forcing overtime and coming back from a what was once a 4-goal deficit, Mooretown skated hard for a victory.  Unfortunately, Mount Bridges won seven minutes into overtime.  This Thursday both teams face off again in what should be a very exciting game to watch.
