Novice Rep Team Captures The Rob Johnston Memorial Tournament
The Mooretown Junior Flags, Novice Rep team hoisted the Rob Johnston Memorial Tourney Cup and drank Sprite from it on Sunday night!

The team went 4-0-1 over the weekend which began with a tie game on Friday night vs. Wallaceburg.  The Novice Jr. Flags rebounded with an 11-1 payback game on Saturday vs Ayr, the nemesis of the Novice Flags in 2016-2017.   A 12 - 0 victory vs. Dunnville rang lots of cowbells and ushered the Flags into the semi-finals on Sunday morning.

Sunday, Funday brought the chance to make lifelong memories.  The Flags flew past Norwich 9-1 to plant themselves into the finals.  Mooretown took on the host team, Paris, for all the marbles.  A tight first period opened up as the game progressed.  The Flags won 10 - 1 to take home the victory, the championship, and the chalice.

Liam Lahey stood tall between the pipes! Camden Campbell and Daynen Vanderveeken played a solid D.   Ryan Carlton, Chase Free, and Barrett Hands lit the lamp!  Graeme Hazzard and Oden Lajoie kept the net clear of opposing goons.  Klarke McLaughlin, Drew Mullen, and Cole Scott kept the forecheck fiercely effective.  Ewan Snedden and Ryan Teschke didn't let any opponent rest!

The Flags were guided by their head coach, Ross Carlton.  Todd Free, Ian Snedden, and Mike McLaughlin kept coaching the boys down the straight and narrow path to victory.
