Atom Rep - Silverstick Champs! (3 Tourney Championships)
The Mooretown Junior Flags, Atom Rep team entered the Regional Silverstick Atom Tournament with a mission to wrestle a championship back to Mooretown. The Atom Reps were the returning champs but had some adversity to overcome. They dropped 2 close games but emerged with big wins in the elimination games to claim the regional championship for Silverstick!

This was a historic win for the Mooretown Minor Hockey Association.  This is the third straight year that the Atom Rep team from Mooretown has won this Regional Silverstick.

The Atom rep team began with a tough loss vs. Lambeth on Friday. They lost 4-2 in a Stone Cold Steve Austin's Stunner. This adversity allowed for them to make a clear goal to move forward.

Saturday was an opportunity to redeem themselves vs Petrolia. The Flags dominated Petrolia 6-1 like a Ric Flair Figure Four Leglock. Woooo! Finally on the wining side.

Sunday was a tough game vs. South Huron. This game was a close game that Mooretown lost 2-1 in the dying seconds. This was as devastating as The Rock’s Rock Bottom move!

In the semi-finals, the Atom Rep team took on Ilderton. Mooretown was able to bring their determination, skill, and effort to the game. They sent Ilderton back home with no answers. The Flags won semi-final game 3-1. The Atom Rep team finished the Ilderton tournament like a Hulk Hogan Atomic Leg Drop.

The finals opened up a rematch, like all classic wrestling matches. Time for memories to be made. The Atom Rep team took on South Huron again. The Atom Rep team scored a quick goal and never let up, winning 2-0. The Mooretown Flags would not be denied like Andre the Giant, they finished with a big time slam! The title was theirs.

The team brought the heat to their opposition. Liam was determined like John Cena to keep the good guys in the lead. Ewan and Klarke played 2 way hockey and scoring goals like a sharpshooter via Bret Hart. Oden, Graeme, Daynen and Cole played solid D and made sure the opposing forwards were hearing the Shawn Michael’s Sweet Chin Music. Cole, Drew, Ryan, Max, Chase and Tucker made plays to set each other up to light the lamp and creating a whirlwind like Brock Lesnar’s F5.

The Flags were guided by their head coach, Ian Snedden, and the staff of Adam Teschke, Aaron Ticknor, Shawn Lajoie, and Ryan Scott kept the boys focused by being as dertermined as tag team champs the British Bulldogs.
