There were some very competitive games during day 1 of play of the Round Robin action.
Novice
Two teams are undefeated after the first 2 rounds of play on Friday. The Sarnia Gold Dragons out scored their opponents 15-1 in the their games while the Kent Leafs scored their two wins by a combined 11-2. Those two teams will meet in the 3rd round of games with a gauranteed spot in the playoffs on the line. East Lambton and the Kent Sharks split their first two games while the Mooretown Jr. Flags teams 1 and 2 are looking for a good Saturday to get back in the playoff hunt.
Bantam
Only one Bantam team won both their contests on Friday as the Wallacburg Jr. Lakers scored 2 wins to start the tournament. Meanwhile a couple of ties will make things interesting for the rest of the weekend as the Port Stanley Jr. Sialors and Lucan Irish both have a a tie and a win. The London Bandits and Ilderton Jets are hot on their heals with a win and a loss. While Mooretown and New Hamburg garnered a point with a a tie and a loss. The Paris Wolfpack will have some work to do to catch the Herd with a pair of losses. But no one is out of contention after the first day of Play
