A few notes from our hockey mom.
At this time we have some positions open for President, Treasurer and a new position of Vice President available to be filled. If you would like to get more involved next season with the Hockey Program, you are welcome to attend our meeting March 3rd 7pm in the Seniors Room by the pool. If you would like some more information before hand you can contact
[email protected]. Send an email and your questions will be answered promptly.
Hockey day is March 29th and this will be the last time you can get your volunteer hours worked off this season. Our sign up sheet is in the lobby on the bulletin board.
After March 3rd. there will also be a sign up sheet for our BBQ at tryouts in Sept. If you would like to sign up for that we will call & remind you in August giving you exact times & dates.
We are trying to create a "Hockey Community Cookbook" fund-raiser by receiving favourite recipes from our hockey family. We need your help to make this work. We, the hockey moms, would like all parents, kids and grandparents to participate. The kids can give us their favorite recipes and there will also be a "special page" for the kids where they can tell us "what hockey means to them", we're also looking to see if parents would also like a "Vegetarian" or "Gluten Free" section and will only tell by you sending the recipes in. Please send some of your favorite recipes in to
[email protected], it is on the Mooretown Hockey website as well. Recipes have started to trickle in very slow and we would like to compile them by the end of March.
This is a way that you parents can donate a small fraction of your time without taking a big chunk out of your busy schedule.
