The Storm Fizzles Out
The Storm knew it would be in tough with some issues affecting its roster but had a win already against Wallaceburg this season.

Mooretown would spend most of the period in the Wallaceburg end getting chance after chance as a result of some good passing and heads up play. The Laker goalie was hot proving that putting one by him was not going to be an easy feat this night. The Storm defence core was battening down the hatches doing well to break up some Laker winds as they blew in towards the net. The period would go scoreless until the opponent capitalized on a power play putting them on the board.

The Storm spent close to the first half of the second frame on the the power play but couldn't get one in to tie the game regardless of the massive amounts of pressure put on the Laker netminder. Tristan Dumoulin finally struck gold for the team tying the game with a nifty deke near the end of his rush. Unfortunately, Wallaceburg struck right back to once again take the lead.

The Lakers increased the lead early in the final period and then tried to convert with Mooretown down two men in the box. The Storm would kill of the penalties but shortly thereafter Wallaceburg fired one past Brant to make it a 4-1 game. The refs played a part in the game waving off a goal in our favour but Dumoulin countered back with his second of the game coming from a nice blister shot from just over the blue line. The Storm found themselves back in the sin bin as the minutes rolled off the clock while the team showed signs of fatigue and defeat.

It was a good effort by Mooretown but not good enough to beat a team that seemed hungrier for the W.
