The Top two teams in the regular season and the top two
teams in the post season will have a three game show down to see who is the
best in the Peewee Tricounty League starting Tuesday night in Mooretown.
In the Regular season the Mooretown Jr. Flags Black reeled off an unbeaten streak of 10 games to finish 1st by two points over the West Lorne Comets. In the Playoff round robin West Lorne posted and impressive 6 and 2 record to finish one point ahead of Mooretown who after losing their first playoff game to West Lorne went unbeaten in their remaining 7 games with a record of 4-1-3. The two teams have played some great games against each other but neither has been able to win on home ice. West Lorne won by scores 3-2 in the regular season and 4-2 in the playoffs while Mooretown won 3-2 in the regular season and 3-2 in the playoffs. The Comets boasted and impressive 1.75 GAA in the regular season while Mooretown had a 2.25. Both teams allowed 17 goals in 8 games in the playoffs for a 2.12 GAA. Tight defensive games with great goaltending should be the call of the day when these two teams tangle. Good Luck to both teams in the best of three Tricounty League Finals.
