Fort Erie Tourney Ends With A 2nd Championship
Fort Erie's Andy Passero Memorial tourney was the setting for the Mooretown Flags U15, who stayed in Niagara Falls and got a taste of the daredevil life. After going undefeated in the round-robin, they finished up the tourney with a decisive victory in the championship game.

The tourney started on Friday with a 4-1 win over a team from Manitoulin. The team was flying versus the Panthers like a hang glider off the Niagara escarpment. The second game was a rematch from a previous OMHA matchup. The host, Fort Erie team, tried to scare the Flags like a haunted house on Clifton Hill. It turns out the U15 Flags aren't afraid of the dark; instead, Mooretown won 4-0.

Saturday showcased Mooretown's speed, skill, and strength as they zipped past the teams like a jet boat going up the Niagara river. They sped past East Elgin 6-0, followed by a 6-1 win against the Minto Mad Dogs.

Sunday's championship was a rematch against Fort Erie, and the host team wanted revenge. Like the go-karts at Clifton Hill's Speedway, Mooretown sped past the host team to an 8-1 victory for the checkered flag and won the cup.

The team showed a fearless spirit as they embraced the games. The defence and goalie connected like a tightrope across Niagara Falls. Liam showed balance in the net, and the defence of Tucker, Dexter, Cole, Chase, and Graeme made it to the other side as they walked the blue line. Barrett, Cole, and Ryan were like Evil Knievel jumping the falls; they put pucks in the net but were nursing some injuries as the games wore on. Cooper, Klarke, Ewan, Oden, Drew, and Ewan played with speed and a rush of adrenaline like a person going over the falls in a barrel while Gavin cheered them on from the shore.

The Flags navigated the weekend like a Maid of the Mist boat trip, thanks to their coaches, Jeff Grant, Ryan Scott, Shawn Lajoie, and Scott Stewart.
