Congratulations Novice Rep: Silver Stick Regional Champs!!
The Mooretown Junior Flags, Novice Rep team claimed the Regional Silver Stick championship banner on Saturday night!  They are eager to hang it from the rafters of Rink 1.

The team went 4-0-0 over the weekend which began with a 5-2 victory on Wednesday vs. Ilderton.  The Novice Jr. Flags continued the winning ways with a 5-3 tight win vs. Wallaceburg, the nemesis of the Novice Flags.   The preliminary victory rang lots of cowbells and ushered the Flags into the semi-finals on Saturday morning.

Saturday will be remembered for decades.  The Flags battled past 3-2 thanks to an overtime 3on3 goal to plant themselves into the finals.  Mooretown took on an old nemesis, Lambeth in the finals.  Lambeth had handed Mooretown a loss early in the year.  However, this time Mooretown would be different.  Mooretown dominated the game defensively as they opened up a 4-0 lead.  The final score, 4-1 for The Flags, left no doubt.  The Novice rep team is moving to the North American finals in a couple of weeks.

Liam Lahey, the tender of the twine, kept the pucks at bay! Camden Campbell and Daynen Vanderveeken played a solid D.   Ryan Carlton, Chase Free, and Barrett Hands pushed forward and kept the opponents guessing!  Graeme Hazzard and Oden Lajoie kept the net clear of opposing goons.  Klarke McLaughlin, Drew Mullen, and Cole Scott kept the fiercely forecheck in the forefront.  Ewan Snedden and Ryan Teschke were punishing along the boards!

The Flags were guided by their head coach, Ross Carlton.  Todd Free, Ian Snedden, and Mike McLaughlin kept coaching the boys down the straight and narrow path to victory.
