Lady Flags Hockey Update
Submitted By Director of Communications on Thursday, May 24, 2018
We would like to give an update in regards to our girls hockey program & The Mooretown Lady Flags.

Earlier this week Executive representatives from both Mooretown Minor Hockey & Mooretown Lady Flags met with an OWHA representative to discuss the future of girls hockey in Mooretown. At this meeting we were given clarification from OWHA that MTMHA would not be sanctioned to run a girls hockey program.

It was also confirmed at this meeting that The Mooretown Lady Flags is a separate association from MTMHA and is no longer able to operate together.

Moving forward MTMHA Executive is in full support of The Lady Flags Association and will work closely with their Executive to ensure a smooth transition. We recognize many of our families have children playing in both associations and we fully intend to have a positive relationship between the respective boards.

The Mooretown Lady Flags will be holding their Annual General Meeting this coming Monday May 28th at 7:00PM. We encourage all Lady Flags members to attend this meeting. There will be an OWHA Representative in attendance to answer questions and to provide further clarification in regards to the separation of the two associations.

For more information please see The Mooretown Lady Flags NEW website - Mooretown Lady Flags Hockey

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our members for your patience over the past few months. Our girls will have a place to play hockey and we are wishing you a very successful 2018 / 2019 season!

Kind regards,

MTMHA Board of Directors
