The Mooretown Novice Rep team had a great weekend at "The Bill Batten Memorial Tournament" in Exeter.  The boys had 2 big wins on Friday against Ingersoll & South Huron. The boys finished off Saturday with a 12-0 shutout & they sent home Highland Storm. They got off to a great start Sunday morning in the semi finals with another 6-0 shutout against Lucan. They met up with South Huron again in the finals Sunday afternoon. The fans were on the edge of their seats on both sides & as loud & excited as we have seen them this season. It was an exciting game & they played hard on both ends. This game brought us our first loss of the season with a final score of 4-3. Finished the tournament in 2nd place. Hold your heads high boys, we are very proud!

Mooretown Novice Rep take home 2nd place ....

The Mooretown Novice Rep team were on the road this weekend as they travelled to Lincoln, ON to play in the "32nd Annual Doug Robinson Tournament". In an almost identical performance as our last tournament the boys took home silver instead of the gold. Losing in the finals 4-3 to a team we had beat the day before. The boys played hard and played smart in their first 3 games of tournament beating Lincoln in two shutouts & St.Marys in game 2 with a score of 5-1. In the finals on Sunday we met up with St.Marys again and the boys struggled the first 2 periods. They came back strong in the 3rd scoring 3 goals, but could not get the 4th to tie it up. A hard loss again for these boys, only their second of the season. They left the tournament with silver medals around their necks and their coaches told them to hold their heads up high. We are proud of you boys!!!

Four of the boys competed on Saturday in a skills competition representing Mooretown. Blake Barnes won 1st place for skating, John McLaughlin won 1st place for shooting, Lucas Ross won 2nd for breakaways & Paxton Burnie won 1st for goalie. On a side note Mooretown fans won 1st for cheering ;) Great job boys!!!

- Player pin trading (each team is asked to bring team pins for your players to trade with other players from other teams)
- Each team will be provided with a team snack pack, lanyards for pin trading and tournament souvenirs 
- Coaching/bench staff will be provided with a welcome package
- Tournament Champion teams in each division qualify to play in their respective Finals Tournament (Atom Peewee HL/LL - Pelham International Silver Stick Tournament in Pelham, Ontario and Novice A/BB, B/CC, C/DD in St. Clair Shores International Silver Stick Tournament in Michigan, USA)
- At the end of each round robin and semi-final game, a player(s) and/or goalie(s) will receive a pin for their outstanding play based on three categories:  hat trick, playmaker (2 points) and shut out.
- At the end of the tournament an all-star team will be chosen for each division
- Division Champion and Finalist teams will receive banners

All teams will be grouped according to OMHA classification.
