OMHA Round 2 - The Storm Eliminated in a Drubbing
Game 4 - Mooretown 3 Dorchester 12

The Storm were at home for Game 4 looking to rebound from a Game 3 OT loss and send the series back to Dorchester for a winner take all match.

The Dragons had different plans and dominated the Storm in every conceivable way en route to ending the Storms' OMHA Playdown run in a shocking 12-3 game.  The win gave the Dragons a 3 games to 1 series victory.

Dorchester opened the scoring just past the three minute mark as a Drgaons forward was able to get in alone on the Storm goal.  Mooretown looked to recover but the Dragons controlled the pace of game and scored again two minutes later to up their lead.  Dorchester scored again a minute later while on the front end of a four minute powerplay to start an unthinkable landslide of 5 goals in the last four and a half minutes of the 1st Period to all but put the series in the books.

To see the game, and series, unravel so quickly was something the Storm were unable to fathom or bounce back from. Dorchester kept their foot on the gas scoring twice more early in the 2nd before the Storm were able to mount any sort of offence and get on the board.  The rest of the game saw Dorchester continue to play all out with the Storm managing to trade a couple more goals.  However, too much damage had been done before the Storm were able to show any signs of life.

In all, it was the worst of the Storms' ten losses this season, both in terms of goal deficit and a willingness to battle.  Dorchester must be complimented on the energy and physical play they brought to every game of the series.  They consistently displayed a level of tenacity and puck pursuit that the Storm were unable to match from shift to shift.

The Storm will have some time to lick their wounds and regroup before they get back into action in the Shamrock League Playoffs where they are set to play a home and home round robin with Petrolia and Lucan.
