Well boys you did it.
I would like to let everyone of you know how proud I am to have been able to coach you this year. You guys listened and worked hard all season and it paid off. Thank you for such a great year.
Keep in mind that every year you have to continue to work hard and always be willing to improve your game. You may do a hockey camp or have another coach who teaches you a new way to shoot, skate or play the game. Be sure to listen and try new things don`t ever feel that there is only one way to play the game. Always think outside the box and be creative. You can never know enough about the game, I am a coach and I am still learning things about the game of hockey.
Also, you guys proved that it takes not only talent but hard work and a lot of heart to win at this game. Remember that no team is gonna give you a win, you have to fight for it and take it from them. Again, good work boys we are all proud of our 2012-2013 Shamrock Novice Rep Champs.
On another note, I was asked to pick a player from our team to play in an all star game. That player will be representing our team and will be on a team with other players from our league. The game will be in Strathroy on April 7th, at 1pm.
The decision was not an easy one as I had a lot of players who stepped up their play and all at different times throughout the season. But I would like to congradulate Matty Anderson for his constant hard work and dedication to our team. Please join Matty's family April 7th and cheer him on in Strathroy.
