Storm vs Jr Stars
Storm and Jr Stars went head to head this wet afternoon.

Storm and Jr Stars went head to head this wet afternoon. There was a noticeable size difference on the ice but our boys knew they would just have to pull up their socks and use their speed. Right off the draw Kelly Johnston made a smart defensive play circling around the Stars player and making a quick pass to Joey Edlington who finished off the play making it 1-0. The Stars responded a few minutes later with a deflection that found the back of the Storm net.
Caleb Lafromboise kept the Storm in the game as the Stars were looking for the go ahead goal firing shot after shot. But Caleb was up for the task stopping all that the Stars had with help from a strong Storm defence.
During the second period Owen McCowan picks the pocket of the Stars forward and rushes down the right, beating the two defenders and the goalie making it 2-1 Storm.
Colby Stewart and Ryan Parkinson held the fort making smart defensive plays while the Storm were killing two critical penalties. Travis Gray made a bunch of arobatic saves, even taking one off the mask. But the Stars found a way to beat Gray tyng up the game late in the third.
Storm never gave up; moving the puck and their feet but unable to find the back of the net.
Great work today boys. Let's keep it up!!
