Storm vr Jr Rockets
Storm took the ice on a wet fall Saturday vs the 1st place strathroy rockets.

The Storm took to the ice on a wet, fall Saturday against the undefeated Strathroy Rockets.
Right from the warm ups the boys looked to be on a mission.
Kelby won the opening face off and dropped the puck right back to Colby Stewart who quickly carried it and launched a hard pass to Owen McCowan who fired a hard wrist shot from the top of the circle making it 1-0 Storm.  Minutes later Joel McLaughlin took things into his own hands driving to the net for his first goal of the season.
Going into the 2nd, Storm with a 2-0 lead. The Rockets started to push back squeezing a loose puck into the Storm's net. It was 2-1, Zac Cottrelle went coast to coast and on his back hand pushed the Storm to 3-1. The Rockets were still not giving up and got another one right off the draw.
In the final period Kelby and Owen were back at it again as the boys used their speed flying down the wing, Owen got the pass from Kelby and back handed a shot that whistled passed the Rockets' goalie. The Storm were up 4-2, but the Rockets were rewarded with a late rush making it 4-3.
The Storm defense were up to the task of clearing pucks and moving them forward. Xander Blair and Jacob Turner held their ground clearing pucks out of the Storm's end.
The quick glove hand of Travis kept the storm in the lead the entire game, especially in the third when the Rockets were pouring the shots at him. Travis stood tall and stole the show helping his team beat the undefeated Jr Rockets.
Excellent effort boys keep it up!!
