Atom Hockey 2019 / 2020
Submitted By Director of Communications on Mon 08 26, 19
Attention: Atom Parents

Due to the large number of Atom aged players registered with MTMHA, the Association wishes to alter our program to allow more players the opportunity to play at the Rep / AE level. Also, we believe that two AE teams will facilitate player development for this age group.

With this in mind, MTMHA will be icing five Atom teams for the 2019 / 2020 season.  We will have three travel teams and two local league teams:

• Atom REP (OMHA B)
• Atom AE Tier 1 (OMHA AE3)
• Atom AE Tier 2 (OMHA AE4)
• Atom FC1 (OMHA LL)
• Atom FC2 (OMHA LL)

Tryout / Evaluation Structure

Players released from Atom REP tryouts will all continue together to the Atom AE tryouts, which will include two skates ON Saturday, September 7th and culminate with an inter-squad game ON Sunday, September 8th

Successful players for the Atom AE Tier 1 team will continue with that team’s tryouts on Tuesday SEPTEMBER 10th.

All players that are released from the Atom AE Tier 1 team process at any point will continue to the final Atom AE Tier 2 tryout on Thursday September 12th.

Successful players for both teams will then be posted on their website following the tryouts.

All other Atom players will continue to evaluation skates for placement on our Four County teams beginning Saturday, September 14th

Also, in order to ensure procedural fairness, the travel coach and team selections shall occur though the appointment of an impartial committee led by our VP Greg Armstrong. The committee members shall have no affiliation with the Mooretown program or the players.

Good luck to all players this season at tryouts!
