THE COME BACK TEAM!!!!
Atom Black started the year with a team that had no goalie, some first year players and some players that went into a position that they had never played before.

Our first game of the season we won against Glenco, building our team spirit!  Glenco's game would be our goalies first hockey game ever.  It was an exciting game and such a good way to start the year off!

We lost the next 7 games before we took a win against the West Lorne Gold team.  Even through the losses the team kept their team spirit up, winning in other ways.  The team was learning positioning, rebounds, passing and how to be a great team.

Since then we have won, tied and lost games.  Our Team has participated in  three tournaments so far, winning the South Kent Tournament over the holidays.  This gave our team even more team spirit, motivation to keep learning, improving and playing great games!!!

We have played 22 games, 7 wins(2 shut outs), 12 losses, and 3 tied games.  Out of the 7 wins, the last 4 games of our regular season have been wins.  The Atom Black team should be so proud, the improvement can been seen on the ice and in the standings as we have jumped from 11th to 7th in just under a week.

There has been bumps in the road along the way but I love the destination.  Atom Black has learned valuable skills from our wonderful coaches.  We couldn't have done it without Coach Zach, Jenn, Rick and Dan.  Thank you for all your wonderful advice, patience and positive attitudes!!!  We couldn't have come as far as we have without all of you!!!

Speaking for Nicholas, Vinnie and myself, I would like to thank everyone for accepting and encouraging Nicholas even though he had no hockey experience, let alone any goalie experience.  It has made the hockey experience positive for our family.  I hope everyone else has had a similar experience this year!!!

Even the siblings got involved in supporting the team.  We have a new equipment manager Ryan Japp, and the cheerleader section, Gracie, Anna Kate, Colby, and Tanner.  In the junior section we have Teegan and Tristin's siblings who cheer just as much, we couldn't do it without them all.  We have a horn and bell section (haha), dancing on ice, behind the bench and from the stands.  Fun was the objective and I think we are achieving that!!! Lets keep up the fantastic work and keep having fun for the remainder of the year!
