Game # 10.
A beautiful drive to West Lorne tonight pays off as this team showed up to play some serious hockey..

" Hungry For The Puck "..seemed to be the strategy tonight as these boys are determined and it shows as soon as the puck dropped in West Lorne .. in 2 minutes and 31 seconds into the 1st period Graydon MacDonald came alive with a bust out in their end with a assist from Derek Zink landing himself his 1st goal of the season..WOW.. what a fantastic play and its nice to see that all players are challenging themselves more and more every game .. and this definitely paid off for Graydon as not only did he score his first goal but also wore home the Golden Jersey after the game with a really big grin on his face. Good things happen when your Hungry For That Puck !!

It was another back and forth game with both teams moving the puck well into the zone .. But Jr.Flags dominated their end when we were attacking and proved we really have what it takes to play good together and thats what makes a great team . Cycling that puck is not an easy thing to master and every game is different, but our boys seem to be getting more comfortable and better puck control.. its only going to get better.. Outstanding work boys ,,, Keep it up. Patrick Brown scores in the second period with a beauty assist from Jace Johnston.. and Reed Mathieson sealed the deal scoring in the third with a little give and go from Devon Zink. Nice teamwork.

With 6:40 left to play in the 3rd.. West Lorne scored their only goal with a wide angle slap shot through traffic narrowly missing Nolans pads as our goalie was trying to see through that wall of players in front of him... Lucky Shot for sure but again that what happens if you simply shoot at that net. No big deal as Nolan faced 23 shots in this game keeping his attention to detail making some very nice saves and keeping this team on top of their game... Thanks Nolan !!

Stellar Defensive action tonight and lately as our D lines have kept us in the game ..so a "Huge High 5"  goes out to Jesse Knight, Jace Johnston, Alex Blair, Dayden Sheldon and Patrick Brown because sometimes their playmaking is what makes the game so exciting and this position is definitely challenging . A lot of times their second on the assisting but that doesnt get marked down on the sheet, but from the bench we want to say that nothing goes un-noticed ..great team work boys.

Well we are almost half way done our Regular season having played 10 games already but theres still a lot more hockey to come before the play downs .. See everyone on Sunday as we take on the Dresden Jr.Kings in Mooretown @ 4:05.

Thanks Team.. "Go Jr.Flags"
