Jr.Flags vs Jr.Kings..
It was a good combination of teams this afternoon in Mooretown..
Both teams came out strong today.. But our team had a certain "Element" to it as Devon Zink scores a beauty wrist shot @ 1:30 seconds in the first period lighting up the arena.. Second period Devon also continued his goal streak while battling at the net after a rebound shot from Nic Gerrits...Fantastic Work Devon!! Although the whole team worked extra hard today .. the players wanted Devon to wear home the Golden Jersey.. So he did it with a huge smile on his face. Congratulations Devon!!
You would have never known that Jr.Kings are #1 undefeated so far when our Jr.Flags too to the ice this afternoon. With the drop of that puck, once again our team advanced and scored our first goal in 1:30 secs and it just seemed to be anyones game for a while. Patrick Brown..or should we say.."Hatrick Brown".. continues to prove he has what it takes out there being in the right position landing his shots on that net. Patrick taking a sweet pass from Alex Blair in the second period, and another from Nic Gerrits in the third. Reed Mathieson also scoring in the third period assisted by Derek Zink as this team just never gave up. Playing hard and having fun seems to work for us so keep it up boys!!
Nolan faced another 26 shots today and stopped a few break aways in this exciting game...Good Work Buddy.. It seems as though we have found our groove and the players are working very well together and having fun doing it..so we couldn't ask for more than that.
