Atom Tri-County White, 2016-2017 (Mooretown Minor Hockey)

Congratulations Mooretown Atom White! We did it! International Silver Stick Champions!
I'm so proud of you all! What a weekend, folks.  From the great moments our team shared with the other teams at the (opening) pin sharing ceremony, to the hover board races between Atom White and Peewee Orange players, to our nail biting semi final when we fell behind to the Beeton Stingers before pulling off the win, to our championship game where we were neck-and-neck with a ferocious Mt. Brydges Cougar team who we finally downed 7-3.  
Our offence was incredible this weekend! They played some extremely defensive games to help us keep the lead when we were up and made some pretty incredible plays to each other to score some pretty memorable goals. The defense definitely brought their “A game” too.  They kept the puck moving out of our end like clockwork, kept the other team to the outside in the defensive zone just like in practice, and kept firing that puck in for our forwards in the attacking zone! Our one and only goalie, Ceager MacDonald, played some of his best games yet, saving numerous shots each game.
I want to congratulate the team again, and give a huge thank you to my Assistant Coaches John Rodey & Adam Oblak, my Trainer James McNaule, and last but not least my Manager Stacy Mazur who helped put this whole thing together!
A big shout out to the cheering parents as well!!! Mom's we could really hear you in that last one!!! Feeling the love!!! Man that banner is sure going to look sweet hanging up at the rink! Two Championship Silver Stick local league banners in one year! Peewee Regionals and Atom International! Just mind blowing! Way to go to the boys from both teams!
Again, you all played so well this weekend and represented Mooretown so well!
