OMHA Round 2 - The Storm Take Game 2 To Tie The Series
Game 2 - Mooretown 2 Dorchester 1

Back at home on Saturday for the 2nd Game of the Series the Storm put in one of their best team efforts of the season to come away with a 2-1 win over Dorchester.

This game was about pure speed as both teams played at a breakneck pace.  With only three minor penalties called, two in the last minutes of the 3rd, the teams put on a great display of skill and tenacity if front of a large crowd at the Moore Sports Complex.

Again it was the Dragons who scored first notching their only marker at the midpoint of the 1st Period.   The Storm were stymied again and again by the Dorchester keeper while Cody Hitchcock was stellar in goal for the home team keeping them within striking distance.

After a scoreless 2nd the Storm finally found the back of the net as Tanner Adams buried a feed from Nolan Farr and Greg Hay five minutes into the 3rd.  Just two minutes later Farr stripped the puck from a Dorchester defenceman trying to make a rush and went in alone to deke the Dragons' goalie and put Mooretown in the lead.

The rest of the period saw a relentless attack by Dorchester with the Storm pushing back just as hard.  With a late penalty on the Storm and the Dorchester net empty the last minute was a nailbiter.  With some great defensive efforts the Storm held firm to win the game and tie the series.
