Atom Rep, 2012-2013 (Mooretown Minor Hockey)

Members of the team got together for a Skills Competition featuring Goalie Deke, Shot on Goalie, Fastest Skater, Puck Handling, Hardest Slap Shot, Hardest Wrist Shot. Thanks to Bob Gladwish for securing a radar gun and the Forbes for providing trophies for all.  Also thanks to on ice helpers Dan Turner and Bob Knight. Congratulations to all the winners.  

The Mooretown Storm knew it was all over coming in, but that didn’t stop them from putting a total team effort into a 3-2 overtime win over Wallaceburg on home ice.  Logan Forbes had 2 goals including the OT winner and Hunter Seguin scored once.  Colin Gladwish was between the pipes in the win.

The Mooretown Storm battled back from two 1 goal deficits to garner a 2-2 overtime tie on the road in Belmont.  Walker Holmes and Hunter Seguin notched the goals while Ben Brant played solid between the pipes.

The Storm travelled south down Hwy. 40 to face off against the Wallaceburg Lakers, for the first of two matches between the teams during round robin play.  The Lakers would get the early lead, just two minutes into the 1st period, and would not relinquish it for the remainder of the game, as they went on to win by a final score of 4-1.  The game remained close for the first two periods as the Storm only trailed by that one goal going into the final frame, but unfortunately the Storm were unable to get that crucial equalizer and gain the momentum needed to take over the game.  Colin Gladwish ...

The Belmont Rangers took advantage of some well performed positioning scoring 3 goals in in the final minutes of the second to score a 5-2 win over the hometown Storm.  Jake Booth and Logan Forbes found the back of the net in the losing effort.
