Storm Face the Lancers for First Time
With a depleted lineup due to illness and Christmas gatherings, the Atom AE Storm would face the Lambeth Lancers in a rare Sunday evening game.
Without the services of "Clarky" Clark, "Dewy" Dewhirst, "Bogey" Bogaert and "Rattlesnake" Nicholson, the remaining eight skaters of Storm, along with their two goalies would get to take a look at the Lambeth Lancers for the first time this year.
Given the fact that Lambeth is a top tear team in this league, I'm told that the came out ready to play and worked very hard to keep the score 4-0 Lancers after 2 periods. When it came time to play the 3rd period, the 8 Storm skaters were rightfully exhausted and just didn't have enough gas in the tank to play the 3rd the way they had played the first 2 periods. Both goalies, Morningstar and Dalgety, played well as they shared the responsibilities between the pipes.
