Your New Coach
Hi folks.  My Name is Tom Soper and I would like to take a brief opportunity to introduce myself to you.
I was born and raised in the Sarnia area and came to reside in Corunna 18 wonderful years ago.  Growing up, I played travel hockey in Sarnia for many years as a goaltender.  I played Jr. hockey for the Flags and had offers to a few schools in the USA but decided to stay and work in the valley.

I have had previous coaching experience in my younger years, coaching a PeeWee team in Sarnia for a few seasons. And now I have been given the opportunity to coach again and I look forward to a great season - where the kids can build on the basics and while having fun, win some games! Things may seem a little slow at first while I get my feet wet again, but I am hoping to get the ball rolling and keep it that way.

Also, please take a moment to welcome my wife Kathy (my right hand) and my oldest son Kodie. Kathy will be doing the computer work and paperwork, and Kodie will be helping open doors during games, and on the ice during practices.

Please take the opportunity in the next two weeks to help Derek however you can so that I can honour the committments that I made previously.

As well, any parents with previous hockey experience are welcome to lace up and join us for practices. It's a great way to bond with your son/daughter and get that valuable volunteer time in. Once you have completed your volunteer time, please let me know and I will submit your name for reimbursement of your volunteer deposit.

Our picture times have stayed the same, Sunday at 1:40 pm. I will try to be back from vacation for both the pictures and the practice. However, if I am late, don't fret because the photographer promised that she could add Morgan and I to the picture effortlessly!

I would appreciate knowing if and when your son/daughter will not be attending games and/or practices so if you could shoot us a text or an email, that would be appreciated.
