Exhibition vs Strathroy
Coming off a win against Strathroy in a friendly tilt a few days prior, the boys hoped to take another before heading into the regular season.
The team looked sharp off the hop getting a good start using their speed and skill to get some chances off while holding the puck steady in the opponents zone. The Rockets would flare towards the end of the frame netting one past Brant to put them on the scoreboard. Our team got a chance to practice both their power play and penalty kill in the middle period with it going scoreless until the third. Strathroy would seal the deal with two more markers but to give Mooretown credit they didn't give up trying until the buzzer went.
It was a good test for the Storm and with some spit and polish should be ready to take on the Wallaceburg Lakers next Saturday to open the regular season.
