Big "W" for the Vipers!
Hi parents,

well we had another stellar morning of league play.  Between the pipes, Nathan Sylvester [2 wins], played amazing! He faced countless shots on net and stoned the visitors enough to come up with the big win! 9 to 8 for the home team woohoo!

The rest of the squad played very well and I was very pleased to see the hard work paying off on our break outs in the d-end! A special shout out goes out to d-man Alex Blair who had an exceptional game clearing the puck out of our end attesting for many advantages up ice! He was our team MVP this game! Way to go Alex!

At the end of the first period it was 2-2.  Our first goal came from Garret Glover [8], no assists.  The next goal was added by Kyle Dupuis [2] with assists coming from Benny McAree and Alex Blair.

The only Viper goal in second period action was a goal coming from Garret with a connection from Alex.  The visitors managed to pop in 5 on us.  But the battling was hard in our end.  And we left that period undeterred.

Down 7 to 3 entering the third period, the visitors only managed to get one more past Nathan, as he practically stood on his head stopping the Oilers at every angle imaginable! Garret would also score 3 more unassisted! Then a huge pass from #16 Alex Blair, who played like Brett Hall, leading a break away by Jasmine Bugler [1] ended in another tick on the score sheet.  Garret then recorded another goal late in the game for the tie, assisted by Kyle Dupuis and our other solid d-man regular Shane Knight! Then with 37 seconds left in the game a breakout from our boys in the back Shane Knight to Avery Morden ended with a big pass to Garret who flew up the ice, deked the pants off the goalie, and ended with the GAME WINNER!!!

We played tough as a team! Another good game VIPERS! Way to go!
