Home safe and sound now.
I have to say it's been a long and exciting day.
The boys played well together all weekend.
Their work hard efforts surely paid off.
Todays games had us parents on the edge of our seats.
The semi-finals game against Elmvale ended with a 0-0 score.
5 minutes of overtime was started, after a couple minutes of play,
Parker Gilhuly scored the winning goal.
Off to the finals we go.
Just enough time between games to run out for a quick bit to eat
then back on the ice.
With semi full bellies, the boys were ready to play against Lucan.
First period was scoreless.
Mid way through second period, Spencer Cowan scored.
Third period, Parker Gilhuly scores.
With 5 minutes left on the clock, we are all thinking we got this game all wrapped up ...
Well don't count your chickens before they hatch!
A little over 2 minutes left on the clock, Lucan scores 2 goals.
Game ends in a 2-2 tie.
Once again, 5 minutes of overtime is placed on the clock.
After a couple minutes of play, Alec Segars scores the winning goal.
