The Mooretown Storm Novice Rep Team would open up the annual home tournament against our friendly neighbours to the north, the Sarnia Jr Sting Novice Tier 2 team.
The Storm controlled the game from start to finish both with their offense up front and a strong flank in behind solidified by Mr. Joseph between the pipes. Mooretown kept Sarnia off the scoresheet throughout the game all while pounding in the goals to ensure Sarnia was always trying to play catch-up. The Storm executed its play according to plan with the players skating and passing like a team and our netminder coming up big when needed. The team finished the game walking away with a solid win setting the tone of the tournament not with subtlety but with a loud bang that everyone should take notice of.
