Drawing the Dragons
Going 0-3-0 against the Dorchester Dragons and being outshot 25-5 in season and tournament play, the team knew the task ahead would be a tough one.

A worrisome moment occurred prior to the game with poor Jack "The Cat" Joseph thinking he would have to play with boots sans skates on his feet but sportsmanship reigned courtesy of a Dorchester parent who raced home to grab a pair of spare goalie skates causing a big sigh of relief with the much "assuming" Mr. Joseph.

The Dragons continued the trend with their showcase of skating abilities and passing plays resulting in a 3-0 lead into the third period. Mooretown never gave up throughout the game always battling back not only against their opponent but also the refs who put the Storm in box six time but also missed some important non-calls. Our teams perseverance paid off in the third with a short-handed goal by Priddle assisted by Jake Maclean with another SHG by Schouten as a Storm player couldn't push the eject button on the sin bin. With the team still down by a goal in the dying minutes, Doan tied the game with a beauty wrister to the corner of the net. Lleyton Ticknor factored into the latter two goals via his offensive defence skills over the blue line. The Dragons did their best to counter back for the win but Mooretown increased their D game while Joseph batted away the rubber in his rental skates. Ultimately, the buzzer was the deciding factor for the well respected tie against a team who dominated them throughout the season.
