Tourney Games 2 and 3 in the Books
Friday saw the players head for the rink sad that they were going to miss school for the day.

The Erie North Shore Storm was the first opponent on the block in game two of the Mooretown Tournament.  Storm vs Storm was the line of the game and the fans would not be disappointed by the battle. Both teams were evenly matched from the onset . Mooretown grabbed the lead in the first and held it until the third period with some stellar play in between. Unfortunately, our Storm would suffer from a couple of bad bounces allowing Erie two goals that ultimately won them the game by a score of 2-1. It was a game that the boys should be proud of even though the result wasn't in their favour.

Game 3 came later in the afternoon facing off against the Clarington Toros. The Storm's offense took off early netting some goals while consistently keeping pressure on in the Clarington end. Our defense was strong breaking up the rushes and keeping the Toros off the board backstopped by our goaltender JJ. Trevor Anderson stole the show in the third embarking on a new movie career starring in his own Superman sequel "Boy of Steel" as he flew through the air as the fans marvelled at his acrobatic skills. Fortunately for #6 Clark Kent, he shook off the Zods and battled back against the opponent. With the Storm thinking the game was in the bag, Clarington started to light the lamp later in the game. It was a good wake up call teaching the players that the opponent should never be discounted until the buzzer goes. Time was on our side though as it was too little too late with the W going to Mooretown.

The players would enjoy a night at Coach Jeff's dining on donuts and cookies mentally planning and preparing with mini-sticks for the unbeaten Wallaceburg Lakers on Saturday morning.
