Mooretown is on FIRE !!
What a fantastic game played as we downed Petrolia in their house tonight ..Our team is playing extremely well together as we push our way towards mid season . Great work by all players !!

A tough start to the game tonight as we managed to get ahead of the Oilers in the first . Petrolia was quick to come back but we never let up and continued to dominate the ice .. Beautiful passing and cycling the puck was key and has been key to our success , and we have learned that good things will happen if we can control the puck. A few close chances in front of their net as Noah ONeil pushed the crease and had a couple beautiful plays which eventually landed him a solid goal . Nice passing back to our point gained Brad Aitchison a picture perfect shot from the blue line hard into the back of the net.. Brad went on to score 2 goals today and took home the " Monster Player Trophy".. Great work Brad. Capt Carter Hawkins landed 2 nice goals tonight after fighting and finessing his way to the net . And Sebastian once again  proved he has what it takes out there scoring 1 goal and 2 beauty assist's. Connor Murphy and Nolan Johnston also creating some great plays and getting well deserved assist's .  Travis Morningstar was"On FIRE"once again stoping 16 out of 19 shots, and lightning fast moves in our net managing some real tough blocks. Rebound control is hard , but our goalie makes it look easy when he can read all the plays when the crease is busy,, Great Job Travis !! Defence has been doing a fantastic job pushing them towards the boards and cycling that puck ..Also we have been mastering that point shot and puck control in their end.. Outstanding job "D".. All players giving it their all and thats what its all about as our team is really gelling fantastic together , and having loads of fun doing it!!

From the coach staff , and all our dedicated parents ,We are so very proud of team .Great job so far this season !!

Lets keep up the awesome team spirit and continue to play consistently excellent hockey.. I wanted to point out that we did play 5 on 4 then 5 on 3 hockey for the last 4mins and 30 seconds in the third period and proved we have learned at practice when we are faced with that challenge . We will continue to practice 3-3 & 5-2 hockey .. I think its working well .

See everyone Thursday night as we take on South Kent in Mooretown @ 6:00..." GO Jr. Flags "
