Storm vs Lancers
The Mooretown Storm Atom Rep team hosted the Lambeth Lancers on the 6th of October2013.  The Storm got off to another slow start dragging their shovels out for the first period digging a two goal deficit to work back from.

At the four minute mark of the 2nd period the tone of the game changed.  The Storm started taking the play to Lancers.  The Line of Jake Booth, Lucas Rodey and Lachlan Stewart got it stared with a solid shift leading to numerous chances and consistent pressure in the Lambeth zone.

The Storm seemed to finally be gaining momentum as Masen Flett got loose in the high slot ringing one of the post.  Shortly after that Tyler Duffy was sprung on a breakaway having the puck slide just wide.  Then it was Jake Booth’s turn to go on a breakaway.  Booth fire high blocker side only to have it hit the knob of the goalies stick.  Mooretown continued to pressure, a hard forecheck by Graham Armstrong lead to Morgan Lahey getting a good scoring chance.

Finally the Storm were rewarded as a solid forecheck form Lucas Rodey caused the Lancer defenseman to cough up the puck.  Lachlan Stewart fed the puck to Jake Booth who put it home.

The Lancers responded streaking down the left wing the Lancers player let a hard wrist shot go.  Ryan Steeves was up to the challenge gloving the puck out of the air.

The Storm went back to work and tied the game 2-2 as Evan Turner was sent on abreakaway courtesy of Nick Bogaert and Tyler Duffy.  Turner ripped his shot past the Lancers netminder.

The goals were coming fast and furious as one minute later the Lancers took the lead 3-2 only to have the game tied up twelve seconds later.  Masen Flett got the goal and Tyler Duffy and Ryan Nicholson were given assists on the play.  The score was 3-3 with 3:26 left to play.

Unfortunately for the Storm twelve seconds after that the Lancers made it 4-3 and held on for the final three minutes for the win.

If we could get rid or the first period we would be awesome.
