Game 20 vs. Petrolia Oilers
Today’s game would be played in Mooretown against the Petrolia Oilers.  No player would wear the 3rd A today.  This would be Mooretown Red’s last regular season game of the year.

Before the game today the coaching staff talked about quick passes instead of skating thru your opponent and getting the puck out of our defensive zone but putting the puck into play instead of dumping it.  The two teams would play an even first period of back and forth hockey.  Red outshot the Oilers 11-7 and the first period ended in a tie 1-1.

In the second period, Mooretown Red would start to take control both offensively and defensively.  Our team would score 6 goals in the second period recording an amazing 14 shots on the Oilers goalie.  Every goal in the second period was assisted by 2 players proving the players were sticking to the game plan.  The defense would play one of its best periods of the year in the second today.  They kept the Oilers to a very low 4 shots in the period and allowed no goals.  Also to note, every defender recorded at least one assist in the period proving that they were also sticking to the game plan and working as a team.  Our goalie Logan even got in on the action recording a sweet assist on our third goal of the period!!!!

By coaches and players working as a unit, Mooretown Red would end the third period and the regular season with a win.  This win will give our team momentum going into the playoffs.

Goals were scored today by Dylan Dupuis, Jace Dupuis, Brady K and Ty Davis.

Looking back on the regular season, it has been amazing to see a group of players from different schools and towns make friendships that lead to great team spirit.  The dedication shown by the players, coaching staff and parents of Mooretown Red has presented noticeable improvements in every player on our team this season.

Looking forward to the playoffs!  Go RED!!!!!!!!
