Missing Crowley and a sidelined Lahey, Williamson answered
the call to shore up the blueline while Adams filled in to generate offense on
wing. Line chemistry wasn’t there for
Mooretown with the Eagles using their speed and skill to get two goals in the
first period.
Mooretown regrouped in the second to hold Alvinston off the scoreboard. Game MVP C. Gladwish made several amazing saves to shutdown the home team during the second period.
Coaching staff made a line adjustment putting Beauvais with Hawkins & Turner. Proving again that the Bantam Junior Flags are a third period team, Hawkins found the back of the net assisted by Beauvais and Turner. Increased pressure from Mooretown saw the puck in the opposing teams end more than the visitors. Final score ended up being a hard fought 2-1 loss.
