OMHA Games vs Lambeth
The Atom AE Storm would draw the Lambeth Lancers in their best of 3 series.

Game 1, in Lambeth, the Storm would see why the Lancers are one of the league's best.

Game 2, in Mooretown, would be one of the Storm's best efforts of the season.

The Storm would make the trip to Lambeth late Saturday afternoon to face the Lancers.  The Storm would do their best to hold back Lambeth in the 1st period with the score only 2-0 after 1.  Late in the 2nd and into the 3rd period the Lancers would come hard at the Storm firing the puck hard (and often) at goalie, Travis Morningstar.  Travis would not back down making many key saves in the game.  The majority of team would quickly shake of this loss with a stop for dinner at Crabby Joes in Strathroy on the way home.

Game #2 would see Lambeth make a Thursday evening trip to Mooretown for game #2.  With the pre game music playing in dressing room #8, the Storm prepared themselves for another tough game.  The 1st period would begin with Mooretown controlling the play deep in the Lambeth zone.  The score remained deadlocked at 0s for awhile until a Lambeth forward would find a way to put the puck in the net on a bad angle shot.  The Lancers would follow up with another goal in the period to make the score 2-0 after 1 period.  The Storm continued their great effort and gritty play throughout the 2nd, keeping Lambeth off the score board.  The Storm skaters worked hard for 2 periods.  Parents and coaches wondered if they could find the same effort to battle for 15 more mins in the 3rd.  The 3rd period, just like the first 2, would see the Storm creating scoring opportunities and fighting hard along the boards.  The Lancers would find the back of the net 3 more times, making the final score 5-0.  The team has nothing to be ashamed of in this game.  Each player on the team deserves a pat on the back for working so hard from start to finish.  An extra pat on the back goes to goalie, Travis Morningstar, who made a lot of great saves throughout the game to keep the Storm within striking distance.  Good work Storm!

The Storm will be on the ice again Saturday for practice at 12:50 to prepare for their last 2 regular season games against Lambeth (again) and Petrolia.
