Novice Lady Flags win Community Award in Corunna Santa Claus Parade
November 28th Mooretown ON

The novice girls were on the road and travelled both Saturday and Sunday while Santa Claus was coming to town.  On ice the girls were unsuccessful on the weekend with 2 losses one to BCH and another to St. Mary’s on Sunday.  The girls were held scoreless in both matches, but a full effort was given by all and the girls left understanding they must be aggressive and remain focused on the game until the final buzzer goes.

The Highlight of the weekend was on Saturday as the team pulled together and decorated their float for the Corunna Santa Claus Parade. After having a great afternoon of Hot Chocolate and Pizza, The Girls  headed off to their starting box where they were spotted taking pictures with the Mooretown Flags Jr. C team. The Junior team kindly offered the lady’s a box of Candy Canes to stop the girls from beating them up.  The Novice Lady Flags looked so well in their Jersey’s, they were awarded the Community Award after singing their record worthy version of “All I want for Christmas is My 2 Front Teeth” The girls were given a trophy for their efforts and most walked the majority of the parode route handing out 1000's of candy canes to other kids along the way.
