Novice Girls Take Silver at Walter Gretzky Tourny (watch 4 of 5 games)

The Lady Flags went to their final tournament of the year this weekend and came home with the silver. The girls won all three games in their round robin.
8-1 over Orillia
2-0 over Kincardine
6-5 over Ancaster
They met Brantford Ice Cats in the semi final and took the game 5-2. This set the up for a rematch with Ancaster in the final at 4pm Sunday. In the previous game with Ancaster the flags came back in the third starting the period down 4-1 and won the game 6-5. The flags fought hard in the final, but, were unable to come out out on top as Ancaster was up 3-0 at the end of the 1st and the final was 4-1.
The lady flags were awarded their medals by the one and only Walter Gretzky and many stuck around for autographs after.
