Congratulations to the Sarnia Novice Gold Dragons on winning their divisions in shut out style!
It was final 4 day on Sunday as the Kent Sharks faced the Sarnia Gold Dragons and the Kent Leafs met the East Lambton Eagles
Semi Finals
The Kent Sharks and Sarnia Gold Dragons would meet in Semi Final 1 and it was a much closer game then the score indicated. The Score was 1-0 for most of the game. The Sharks would tie it up in the third but the Gold Dragons respoded quickly after and then pulled away with 2 more quick goals to score the 5-1 win.
The Kent Leafs would face the East Lambton Eagles in Semi Finals 2 and it was a nail biter. The Leafs would jump out to a 3-0 lead but the East Lambton Eagles clawed their way back but were just unable to pot the tying goal.
Finals
The top 2 teams after the round robin would meet in the finals in the Sarnia Gold Dragons and Kent Leafs. The teams had played to a tie when they met in the round robin so a close game was to be expected and was to be had. The teams had a hard fought game but Sarnia was able to notch a 2-0 win to secure the Gold!
